Built in 1815, the Coit House is Buffalo’s oldest home and the Fika Midwifery hub. Seven babies have been born there thus far—all long before hospitals existed.

Because we believe there is nothing more powerful than bringing forth Buffalo’s next generation steeped in the long-standing tradition of midwifery in a house older than any hospital in Buffalo, there will be two rooms designated for home away from home birth at the Coit House.
